105: Stop Living in Tomorrow: The Trap That Steals Today
Your aliveness doesn’t wait for perfect safety. It begins the moment you choose to see what’s right in front of you.
Living in your future will keep you away from it.
There is a difference between letting yourself dream about the future to feel what’s in alignment, and jumping five steps ahead while ignoring what’s right in front of you.
When I admitted to myself that what I truly wanted wasn’t to live in a country with extremely cold winters and long dark days… when I admitted that my body thrived in the sun, that I wanted to own my time and have a more flexible schedule… nothing changed overnight.
But I made a decision: every step that appeared in front of me that moved me in that direction, I would say yes.
And that’s often what people miss. Life responds to our desires. But our mind, trying to keep us safe, gets in the way.
We start doubting, questioning if this is really what we want. And then all the beautiful signs, all the invitations to surrender, pass right in front of us. We don’t see them, because we’re stuck in our minds, believing the sign should look different.
I remember being part of a group of women, beautiful dreamers. One of them, a passionate and powerful woman I would even call a witch, worked in a job she didn’t like while trying to build her business on the side.
She spoke so often about her desire to live from her business and help more people, but she said she didn’t have time because of her full-time job.
Then one day she lost that job. To her, it was a tragedy.
She collapsed into fear, and all of a sudden her dream faded. She couldn’t even feel the desire she had held onto for so long.
But there is another way of seeing that, life was giving her the perfect opportunity. An open door to put all her energy into the work that mattered most to her.
Life was co-creating with her, responding to the very thing she had been asking for.
But the mind pulled her away.
Because it didn’t look the way she thought it should. And so, in the name of safety, she postponed the very life she longed for.
And what are these conditions we’re all waiting for, anyway? To work for forty years, retire, and then finally allow ourselves to do what we love?
I remember a colleague at one of my jobs—we celebrated his retirement after more than four decades at the company. He was glowing, saying how excited he was to finally have the time and money to live his dreams. Less than three months later, he died of a sudden heart attack.
Another colleague at a different job was the oldest employee there, her white hair a crown of endurance.
She was still working 50+ hours a week.
Why?
Because a change in the law had stripped away much of her pension. To “make up for it,” she needed to work another 10 or 15 years before she could feel financially safe enough to stop.
So what is safety, really?
Following your heart is not safe. It’s messy, it’s scary. But here’s the truth: there is no perfect condition that will ever arrive to make it safe for your mind.
This is a decision.
When you make it, your mind will resist you more than ever. It will tell you that you should feel different, that this isn’t for you, that you are making a mistake. It will come up with every possible and impossible reason to pull you back.
And still—you don’t need to throw away all your plans or ignore your responsibilities. Sometimes it does mean making a plan for your transition. But keep this in mind: the plan is not about waiting for perfect safety. It’s about finding the minimum viable way to start moving now.
But the outside can collapse, the world can collapse, and when you are connected to your why—when you feel it deeply inside—you know you are being guided.
By God, by Source, by Life itself. And when you know that, nothing else matters.
There is a feeling that has no price: the feeling of purpose. Of making a difference. Of helping others and transforming yourself in the process. Of shining light into your own shadows. Of knowing: this is my gig, this is what I came here for.
For me, that’s wholeness. Doing what expands my heart, making a living from it, letting my service nourish others as much as it nourishes me.
I’m not saying throw away all your plans or ignore your responsibilities. I’m saying don’t let the idea of safety rob you of the life that’s already calling you.
I am so passionate about life that my deepest desire is to help more and more people fall in love with theirs. Because once you fall in love with your own life, you’ll see: safety was never the goal.
Aliveness is.
I’d love to hear from you…
If safety was no longer the goal, what would aliveness look like for you right now?

Carolina

Sacred Confidence Workshop ❤️
You probably got confidence wrong (and that’s why you’re stuck)
If you’ve been struggling to show up for your business the way you know it deserves, there’s a good chance you’ve got confidence backwards.
Maybe you’ve stared at a blank screen and couldn’t hit publish.
Maybe you’ve delayed making an offer you know could help someone.
Maybe you’ve thought: “If I just had one more credential, then I’d be ready.”
We’re taught from childhood that confidence is something you build:
More action. More experience. More certifications. More proof.
None of this is wrong. But it’s secondary.
Here’s what doesn’t add up:
If confidence truly came from experience and credentials…
Why do so many people with multiple degrees struggle to launch?
Why do therapists with certifications longer than their arms hide from expanding their practice?
And why do some beginners create thriving businesses with zero formal training?
Because they’re tapped into something else entirely.
Something you already have but may have forgotten.
Inner Confidence.
This isn’t the confidence you earn. It’s the confidence you were born with — before the world taught you to seek permission, wait for approval, and collect certifications as insurance against being “found out.”
We see this in our Harmony Map assessments constantly: brilliant people with proven concepts, multiple gifts, and techniques that work… yet they dim their light. Not expanding. Not stepping up.
Why?
Because they’re disconnected from the innate creative force within them — the one that doesn’t need external validation to move forward.
The people doing extraordinary things aren’t more certified than you. They’re not more qualified. They just fully believe in themselves and decided they’re the only ones who can create the life they want to live.
Inner Confidence isn’t built. It’s remembered.
And there are specific gateways to access it — practices that help you remember what you knew before doubt took over.
That’s why we created the Sacred Confidence Workshop.

This isn’t another course teaching you how to “act confident.”
It’s a remembering process. A reconnection to what’s already yours.
If you’re tired of going in circles, doubting yourself, or waiting until you “get it right” before moving forward — this is for you.
The part of you that knows you’re meant for more? That’s not ego.
That’s truth trying to surface.
Imagine what shifts when you stop waiting to be ready — and start remembering you already are.

Here is what I want to share this week …
Back to my Yoga Practice! YAY!
This past week I went back to hot yoga classes. Since moving to Brazil I’ve struggled to find a space for my yoga practice. I had tried a couple of studios and teachers, but nothing really connected or inspired me to keep going.
This week I finally found a teacher who brought exactly the energy I was craving — a mix of reflection, breath, connection, and the challenge of pushing my body in certain postures. And the fact that it’s hot yoga adds that extra layer of sweat I actually love.
I left class feeling energized and wanting more.
It’s wild how easy it is to slip into autopilot, doing only what’s right in front of us, and forget the things that really matter. For me, yoga has always been that practice that makes me feel at home in myself more than anything else.
