Thank you for this piece. If you're only enjoying something for what it earns you, you've already stopped enjoying it. Excellent food for thought.

You are welcome :) we miss the point every time we focus only on the result

"Pleasure is the source you create from." I've been thinking about this a lot lately. How to find more joy in the PROCESS and less fixation on the destination. Perspective helps. I tend to get tunnel vision sitting at my laptop for too long but a step away from the desk, out into nature, tea time, walking meetings, all help infuse more pleasure into the doing and allow for more being 💚

Love this. Carolina, I think you found something bigger than what you claimed.

Look at your own two fixes.

Pottery moved to Saturday. Taxes moved to Monday morning. Both are placement. Same task, same you, different hour, completely different experience. You said that yourself, and then you were modest about what it meant.

Every farmer knows this one.

A cow is milked at the same two hours every day, and a farmer who drifts around with the timing gets less milk from the same cow. Not because the animal lost enthusiasm. Because it lost the rhythm. The same task at the wrong hour is a different task, and usually a worse one.

So I'd offer you a second question next to your closing one.

Not only how do I love everything I do, but also: what am I doing at the wrong hour?

That one is fixable this week, and it needs no inner work at all.

Tuesday night was never going to work. Not for pottery, not for anyone. That's not a discipline problem.

That's a scheduling problem wearing a discipline costume.

I love your comment so much thank you!! We have our own rhythms and not honoring that is a big problem!

Sometimes it can be as simple as changing the hour, the same action and a complete different experience
