At the gym recently, a man told me, "Coming here gives me a break from my own mind. It's the only time my thoughts slow down. The rest of my day, I'm constantly thinking and worrying. Coming to the gym for me is more than physical exercise—it's the only moment I don't feel overwhelmed and anxious about my thoughts and my life."
It made me sad to listen to him, he is someone I know and I could feel his suffering and desperation of needing a break. This just reconfirmed something powerful I already knew about our bodies: through movement, we actually change our relationship with our thoughts.
His words crystallized for me how the body isn't just a vehicle for the mind, but a gateway to mental clarity and emotional balance. When we move, we create space between our thoughts. We break the hypnotic cycle of rumination.
I've experienced this countless times in my own journey, but hearing him articulate it so plainly made me see even more clearly how our modern disconnection from our bodies is directly linked to our mental suffering.
It made me ask: What other powers do our bodies hold that we're not aware of? How long are we going to be stuck in our heads creating problems and thinking it will resolve the problems it created?
What is happening or not happening in your body is connected to what is happening or not in your life as well. I see so many people suffering so much from being so long in their heads that one of my motivations to do the work I do is to tell you, if this is you, it doesn't need to be like that.
How desperately we need physical exercises or routines to escape our minds. But what if escape wasn't necessary? What if our mind and body could reconnect again as a team and work in favor of our soul?
When Phil and I created Sacred Business, we went beyond conventional definitions of success. We approached business from wholeness—as a means for evolution. We decided that our approach would necessarily include the body.
We would support people with what their minds need to know to create a solid foundation for their business, but just as importantly, we would help people drop into their bodies, connect with their innate wisdom, and from that space of wholeness and integration between all of our "parts," we would together build amazing businesses with great people to serve this world.
We live in a fragmented society. Weekdays for work, weekends for pleasure. We spend most hours making money, then briefly escape those same spaces. We meditate ten minutes daily because the rest of the day we're not present.
We pursue careers that drain our vitality, treating our passions as luxuries. We compartmentalize spirituality into designated practices instead of infusing ordinary moments with meaning. We visit nature on scheduled outings rather than recognizing it as our essential environment.
This fragmentation isn't just in our calendars and activities—it lives within us too. I know this intimately from my own journey with migraines and overthinking.
For years, the excessive worry about life and constant mental rumination physically manifested as debilitating headaches. My healing journey taught me that I needed to include my body more if I truly wanted to heal.
Even now, this remains a daily practice—a conscious choice to step out of my head and into the wisdom of my body.
We live stuck in our heads, separated from our bodies because we fear feeling the truth that our bodies would reveal. We remain in our heads, because there, we can rationalize anything.
We continue lives we don't love but refuse to fully feel the dissatisfaction. It's easier to numb ourselves, to distract ourselves, to overthink ourselves into believing our unfulfilling lives make sense than to feel the full weight of a life half-lived.
And that's why vitality is one of the fundamental frequencies of a Sacred Business. If your business doesn't support a healthy life or doesn't inspire you to move and be fit, then why are you doing it?
I love the quote by Shoaib Hussein:
"You can have 1,000 problems in life until you have a health problem. Then you only have one."
Vitality is more than having a fit and healthy body. It's about what happens when you feel healthy in your body, when you feel strong and capable. You become a conduit for more creative energy to flow through you.
Vitality is the result of having a healthy body, being excited and in love with your life, and a having a mindset that serves your soul.
Maybe you're at a point in your life where knowing more isn't necessary.
You already have what it takes to serve others in a beautiful and powerful way. You have the skills, you have the knowledge, you love what you do, or are in love with your idea of what's next for you.
Now, all you need is to experience all that in your life, in real time, feel it in your body.
It's time to include your body. It's time to walk your talk.
Try this: Bring a challenge to your mat. Sit with the possibility that this space alone might be enough. Stretch freely as if movement itself is the solution. Breathe through discomfort. Your body will guide you if you're present enough and your mind will pick it up.
The clarity you seek isn't in more thinking. It's waiting in your body's wisdom. When you finally listen, you'll wonder why you spent so long searching elsewhere for what was already within you.
With Love,
Carolina

Sacred Business Stories
It's been a couple of months now since we have successfully launched our Sacred Business Stories, and it has become one of our favorite parts of the business. There's something truly magical about these moments of expansion and inspiration through other people's paths and experiences.
There is something special in this online work when we can connect face to face that makes me desire more interactions like this, and that's also why we have quite a robust schedule of calls in our community.
We just opened our calendar for June and it's filling up pretty quick! I would love to hear from you – who would you like to see in our show? To the best of our abilities, we will try to bring these inspiring individuals into conversation with us.
Do you have someone in mind for Sacred Business Stories?
Share their name and where to find them
Let us know if you can make an introduction (if you know them personally)
Tell us why you believe they would be a great fit for our show
And remember – this person could be YOU! If you'd like to be featured, simply let us know why you think you'd be a good fit, and if it's aligned, we would love to have you join us.
Just reply to this email with your recommendations, and let's continue building this beautiful community of Sacred Business connections together!
Here is what I want to share this week …
My first-ever Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class
This week, I stepped onto a mat for my first-ever jiu-jitsu class. It was exhilarating, humbling, and eye-opening all at once. I moved my body in ways I'd never experienced before, twisting and leveraging weight in unfamiliar patterns.
There's nothing quite like the vulnerability of having someone positioned on top of you, calmly explaining, "If I continue this movement, you could pass out or even die," or "If I pull your arm just a bit more here, it would break."
We are simultaneously incredibly strong and profoundly fragile. How precious life is, that a split second's movement can change everything.
I've long believed that if I want to change things in my life, I need to literally change things in my life.
As obvious as that sounds, it's actually profound. If I desire different experiences, I must place myself in new situations. Otherwise, how am I creating fresh adventures or opening myself to receive new insights?
As I write this, I'm acutely aware of muscles I rarely notice. The soreness, the unexpected pain—it makes me feel strangely alive and hungry to experience life more fully.
There's something powerful about speaking from direct experience. While I'm not certain jiu-jitsu will become my next passion, it feels aligned with my goals.
But what matters is that I can now speak from lived experience—I did it, I felt it.
About two years ago, I tried pole dancing. It wasn't for me—the dizziness I experienced didn't serve me well. But that too, I experienced firsthand. I felt it, I lived it. And from that direct knowledge came the clarity to say, "This isn't my path."
Why am I sharing this?
Perhaps it will inspire you to release some of your well-formed opinions about things you've never actually tried. Maybe you'll open yourself to new experiences, and from those experiences create the space to decide what truly resonates with you.
There are so many incredible experiences waiting in this life.
It's time to stop thinking about living and actually live—to drop out of our heads and into our bodies. Because if it's not happening in your body, it's not truly happening in your life.
Who We Are Celebrating
Rebecca Weston
I also want to share something special in the vibe of vitality and including your body more in your life journey. This past week we interviewed Rebecca Weston, a true Camino de Santiago expert who helps people create powerful experiences on this transformative European pilgrimage – particularly focusing on adventurers over 50 who might doubt their ability to undertake such a journey.
Throughout our entire conversation, I had chills. Partly because I believe the Camino is truly transformational (everything she shared made me desire to go even more!), but also because Rebecca's passion is absolutely contagious. Having walked the Camino an incredible 12 times herself, Rebecca breathes the spirit of the path into every word she speaks. Now living in Spain and volunteering in one of the cities where pilgrims begin their journey, she embodies the very essence of what makes the Camino special.
There's something truly magnetic about conversing with someone deep in their element – time flies, and your attention is completely captivated by their energy and wisdom. That's exactly what happened during our talk with Rebecca.
I want to celebrate you, Rebecca, for being this beautiful channel helping people embrace this powerful experience. Many in their 50s and beyond don't believe they have enough vitality to walk this path or that they don't have what it takes. But as a sacred guide, you hold them to the best of their potential and make reality what they probably never thought possible for themselves.
If you're curious about the Camino, this is a GREAT conversation to watch! Rebecca drops many helpful tips from her wealth of experience. If you love travel, it's also a fun discussion that might inspire you to add the Camino to your list. And if you're simply curious, maybe accept my challenge to try something different for yourself – receive the gift of living the experience fully and opening up to the surprises that always happen when you step into something new for the first time.
