When I first started posting on Instagram I loved the playing with Canva part.
Finding the right font. Picking the colors. Curating a beautiful quote from someone I admired.
That part felt safe.
But giving my own perspective on that quote? Nah…
I would rewrite it five times looking for the angle where nobody could disagree. Where nobody would argue back.
I didn’t know what to say.
I didn’t want to share about myself because I didn’t think I was relevant. I would talk about the tools I was using, but I wasn’t part of the equation at all.
The value was in how I was serving my clients, but there was very little value in who I was… or so I thought.
I was consistent. I was showing up. I was hiding behind the tactics. No growth.
And the painful part is, the voice I had in the room with my clients wasn’t anywhere on my social media.
The presence, the clarity, that unfiltered thing that happens when you are fully there with someone... it just disappeared the moment I opened the app.
Maybe you know this feeling.
You do the inner work. You hold space for other people’s transformations every single week. You invest in another tactic. You fix the content strategy. You post more consistently. You follow the framework.
Both happening at the same time. And still, you’re not growing beyond a certain point.
The tactics aren’t failing you. You’re just not inside them.
The real you… the one you’ve found through all that inner work… never shows up in the strategy you know.
What happens is, when you share publicly and execute your strategies, you are being vulnerable.
You enter a space where you will be found by people who didn’t look for you.
People with different opinions, different perspectives, different ideas. In that open space you can be judged. You fear saying something and being misunderstood. You don’t want to feel shame or make a mistake in front of others.
So the tactics become a hiding place.
You might think, but how? I am putting myself out there, I am sharing. And you are.
But the version showing up is the careful one. The one looking for the angle where nobody disagrees. It’s still coming from bracing, and marketing doesn’t feel good at all… of course, there is no space for your essence. You put the armor on and you start posting or writing an email sequence.
You know that feeling when you are one on one with your clients. That unfiltered presence. That voice that comes from your soul. Your marketing is looking for that.
Come home to yourself.
Your essence doesn’t overthink, - it does, it shares, it speaks, it flows, it dances. If you can find that energy behind your strategies, you’ve found your magnetic marketing.
Your words start touching people’s hearts. They help the ones who resonate find you.
It gives you results. But you don’t do it for the results. You do it because it’s so joyful, it nourishes you and it nourish others too.
This is when you start falling in love with the journey.
And that is priceless.
With love,
Carolina
