Near the end of a call yesterday, I asked one simple question:
“How are you feeling right now?”
She paused.
“More grounded and settled,” she said. “For years, I’ve really struggled to explain what it is that I do. I know I do something…”
I know I do something.
Maybe you know that feeling too.
You know your work matters because you’ve watched it help people. They leave conversations with you seeing themselves differently. They make decisions they’ve been stuck on for months. They tell you how much your support changed things.
And then someone asks, “So, what exactly do you do?”
Suddenly, all that knowing turns to fog.
This morning was our first private Roadmapping Call for the first-ever cohort of Your First Yes.
It was with someone Carolina and I have wanted to work with for a long time. Her energy has been infectious in our broader community, and we’ve quietly hoped we might find the right way to support her more closely.
We started by spreading all the possibilities out on the table.
Different ways she could help. Offers she had already considered. Questions about how long the engagement should be, what it should include, and whether anyone would pay for it.
All of it legitimate.
None of it quite held together yet.
So we stayed with the deeper questions.
Who does she most want to help? What changes because of her work? Where does someone begin, and what meaningful step could they take with her support?
Slowly, the fog began to lift.
The work that had been difficult to explain for years started taking on a shape she could actually hold. There was now a clear offer she could build, test, and begin inviting people into.
And when she said she felt more grounded, I had this little surge of excitement:
This is why we created Your First Yes.
Much of our deepest work has previously happened inside private client engagements. We wanted to find a sweet spot that made this level of support more accessible, while still giving each person the attention their work deserves.
This morning, I could feel that sweet spot becoming real.
We’ve been slowly inviting people we already know in our world who feel like the right fit. A handful have said yes, and we still have a handful of places open.
The official eight-week cohort begins the week of September 28. Those joining early receive extra time and private feedback before we begin, and we’re scheduling their Roadmapping Calls now.
So if you can feel the value of your work but still struggle to give it a clear shape, and you’re ready to turn it into an offer you can confidently invite people into, we’d love to hear from you.
Comment YES below, send me a DM here on Substack, or email me at phil@sacredbusinessflow.com.
You don’t need a polished pitch.
Just tell me what you’re hoping to bring into the world.
With Love,
Phil
