It Makes Me Sad
A Love Letter to Those Playing Small
I feel a deep sadness watching incredibly talented people give up on themselves. Not just one or two - I keep seeing this pattern over and over.
We're masters at creating "reasonable excuses" to convince ourselves we aren't choosing ourselves.
The most common one?
Money.
"I don't have enough money to invest in the support I need to grow and share my gifts."
But is this really true?
I've seen people receive full scholarships to valuable programs that could transform their lives - programs that gave them exactly what they needed to move forward. Yet they didn't show up. So it can't be about money.
Another commonly given excuse is that it's about time. But suddenly these same people find time to start a 5-year certification course or take a month off to "reflect about life."
Let's be real - you don't need another certification. Chasing another degree or course is just another clever way to stay busy and avoid doing what you know will actually move you forward.
It's a comfortable distraction, keeping you in the illusion of progress while your true calling waits. So it can't be about time either.
I'm being honest here, not to judge anyone but to express my sadness when I see people's potential more clearly than they see it themselves.
Ignoring your heart's calling isn't just about you - it's actually an act of selfishness. It affects all of us. As a collective, we need your unique gifts. We need your best version.
Everything is connected, and expansion is available to all of us. There's no more hidden information - what you need to know is just one click away.
The truth? It's not about money or time. It's about being addicted to comfort.
Everything around us is designed to keep us numb and passive. Sit on the couch. Watch Netflix. Order food. Move less. Think less. "Be happy." The distractions are endless. Media tells us we're not enough. The system wants us to stay asleep.
Make just enough money. Buy things you don't need. Keep telling yourself your unique gift isn't worth sharing.
It makes me sad because I know what's possible. I know what happens when you finally choose yourself - when you break free from comfort and share your gifts with the world. The power that flows through you when you say yes to your calling is beyond anything comfort could offer.
You're not alone in this. Right now, people just like you are breaking free from these patterns, choosing courage over comfort, and creating extraordinary lives. While no one else can make this choice for you, there's a whole community of souls ready to support you when you decide to break free.
Your excuses might feel real, but they're just stories keeping you small. The world needs your talents, your voice, your courage to step beyond comfort.
