The Love Led Leap: The Courage to Answer When Your Calling Speaks

Follow Your Inner Voice

Here I was… catching myself driving for 20 minutes to get my eyebrows done.

Heading to Côte-des-Neiges in Montreal on a cold morning, having to look for parking, and having blocked on my schedule 1.5 hours for eyebrow time (That’s A LOT).

I don't remember how I got to this woman.

It was probably a recommendation, but close to my house there were so many other places with good eyebrow professionals as well.

And I question myself: why am I going so far to have my eyebrows done?

Anyway, I am happy with the results, and I am going there for the second time. It bothers me a bit—the time-consuming drive and inconvenience of parking on the street - but I went.

In the middle of her work, I asked her a question.

"How did you decide to open an eyebrow studio in Montreal?"

Her answer gave me goosebumps.

She said, "God told me to."

Of course, she got me there—I lifted my head from her chair and looked deeply into her eyes, "Please tell me more."

She said, "I was working at a bank. I had a good career and a good plan for my future, but I wasn't really happy doing what I was doing, and I asked God to send me some guidance. One night, I was sitting on my bed, without thinking about anything, and this clear voice in my head told me I should open an eyebrow studio."

"I knew it was God because it was pure. I wasn't overthinking anything, and I had this question about my career in my heart."

"It was so clear that I just knew I had to follow this guidance. The next day, I enrolled myself in the best eyebrow training available in my town."

Then I asked her, "But have you had this desire before?"

And she said, "Not at all. Never thought or planned to work as an eyebrow designer."

She laughed and continued, "I even remember my husband questioning me, 'Why would you pay so much for that if there were so many other courses available?'"

And she kept going, "How would I not enroll myself in the best training possible if it was God who told me to? I will be the best."

She had such a sweet tone in her voice.

Her trust and clarity filled my heart with joy and potential. In that moment, something resonated deeply within me - a recognition of what it means to trust your path completely.

She had opened her eyebrow studio less than a year from when I started seeing her. She was fully booked and already had partners to open a bigger place in another location in Montreal so she could serve more people.

I left her place with my eyebrows beautifully done and with the thought: Of course I used 1.5 hours of my day for this. God told her. She is divinely guided, and she puts all her love and care in what she does. I then understood why I was choosing to see her rather than many others.

To this day, this story inspires me.

At that time, I was already dedicating myself to my calling as well, and the reason why I was attracted to her was because she was following her call. She took the leap.

She believed in herself more than anyone else, and she created a great and successful business. She said she could never be happier and feel more fulfilled than how she was feeling with her decisions.

Her power of attraction was bigger than ever.

I hold this story in my heart, and I don't believe she is special. I don't believe I am special.

I just know that I dare to try, and she dared to try too.

We are all extraordinary in our courage to listen to that quiet voice that calls us toward our purpose.

She fully believed in her calling. She took action as if she were a PRO since day one, once she decided she would be the best in the eyebrow design world.

Then we can think, isn't it so common to find good professionals in her field? Is she really doing something unique? Is that a calling? And I absolutely believe it is.

We all have unique energies and unique gifts, and even if she is doing something that "many others" are doing, she is approaching it with sacredness.

And that makes the difference! Her life was transformed by this business. Her level of excitement and love for what she does is contagious.

She was in a great position when she received this guidance. She was working at a bank—stable income, even though not a lot of free time—but she made this calling her priority, and slowly she was preparing herself to transition.

She saw the bank as the perfect catapult to take her exactly where she knew she had to go.

Why did I feel inspired to share this story?

One, because it gives me goosebumps to this day. I hope you felt that too.

Having met her was a blessing and a sign for me. At that time of my life, through this conversation with her I felt as God was talking to me too, confirming I was on the right path.

I am forever grateful for this encounter.

And secondly, because we all receive these pure thoughts, these ideas, these callings. It's not random; there is a reason why.

It is for you to experience courage, to experience faith, to give the step before seeing the whole path, to feel excitement, to even feel challenge. It is for you to feel alive, to fall in love with life.

To discover that magic happens not when we wait for perfect conditions, but when we listen to that divine whisper that says, "This way."

It’s hard to put into words how much I love what I do. My story was very different from hers—you can take a look here if you've never read our manifesto—but I am so grateful to myself for having had the courage to try something new, to dive deep into the discomfort, to have followed my heart.

Now we support people in every way—physically, emotionally, and strategically—to do the same.

I hope you will choose to play your instrument in this lifetime. It's never too late to follow your calling.

Your song is waiting to be sung, and the world is waiting to hear it.
