Today we discovered something powerful: The deepest commitments often require sacred sacrifices – and our bodies hold wisdom about what we need to release to move forward.
Here's what Carolina shared that shifted our perspective:
"Your new life will cost your old life. And it is beautiful, but it's painful. When you make a choice, it's necessary to embody sacrifice to manifest the one thing."
Through balance poses and somatic practices, we:
Explored the physical sensations of attachment and letting go
Used breath work to build capacity for sitting with discomfort
Released tension patterns that keep us clinging to the familiar
Practiced trusting our vision even when feeling unstable
Integrated new relationships with sacrifice and commitment
My key takeaway:
"The body reveals where we're holding onto comfort at the expense of growth. Through mindful movement, we can literally practice the art of letting go – building trust in life's unfolding."
We integrated this understanding through:
Balance poses that challenged our need for control
Hip openers to release stored emotions and patterns
Twists to create space for new possibilities
Breath work to regulate our nervous system's response to change
