It was Wednesday morning, it was rainy, and I drove about 25 minutes to get to my hot yoga class.
Everybody was sitting down, ready for class to start, and the teacher, who I specifically chose to go when she teaches, said:
“Good morning, everyone! Just a quick message before we start. I received some feedback from the students, as this yoga studio requests every month, and I got some people complaining about the music I choose, that it’s too agitated. I want to tell you that this will not change. This is me. It’s my style. And we have other amazing teachers who pick different songs and a lighter style for their class, but this is not me. Let’s move.”
I appreciated her message so much.
At the end of class, I came to her and said, “Thanks for not changing. I drive 25 minutes to your class because I resonate with you, your style and your energy.”
Receiving a critique doesn’t mean you shouldn’t listen or that you must ignore everything.
Sometimes it brings clarity and refinement.
But you have to pause and ask yourself: Is this me? Does this comment make sense? Am I aligned with what feels good in my heart?
And if the answer is yes, this is how I enjoy teaching, this feels authentic for me, then own it.
This is an important energy that gets unlocked in your solar plexus, heart, and throat.
With love and power combined, you speak your truth.
Love is not about pleasing everyone.
Not even Jesus did it, why would we?
I’m sharing this here because your Sacred Business depends on this energy.
Your magnetic power resides in your ability to stand for something.
If you don’t agree that business and spirituality walk hand in hand, that’s fine — but probably you wouldn’t sign up to read what I write.
And by the way, if you think we send too many emails, you can unsubscribe too. You can actually select what you want to receive — only the things that add to your day — and unsubscribe from others.
But we won’t stop sending, or send less, just because a few don’t like it.
That’s the mistake most people make, trying to adapt to fit inside someone else’s boxes.
You know what it does?
This goes way beyond not feeling good in your own body.
You cut your divine connection. You stop the flow of life that runs through you.
That’s why fitting in feels so gross.
Fitting in is a survival mechanism, and we were born to be creators.
It exists because your sense of safety is out there, not in your core.
It’s self-abandonment.
It’s important to stand for what you believe, not only in business, but in life.
And if you want to lead, guess what? You can’t lead from the middle.
When you try to fit in, you become invisible.
If my yoga teacher had listened to those critiques and changed to a softer, slower class with calm music, I wouldn’t drive to see her.
I’d look for someone else.
When we operate as energy and stop seeing ourselves only as matter, it becomes crystal clear that competition is an illusion.
People are attracted to you for who you are, not what you do.
So pleaseeeee… own it.
If you don’t believe money is sacred, that it’s a tool of creation, that your business is connected to the expression of your soul, that’s totally fine.
I don’t need to convince you.
There are many people teaching business growth and marketing strategy out there with a different approach.
If you hate marketing and sales and believe you don’t need that to grow your business, that’s great too.
It’s you… and you have to honor that.
Don’t be afraid to pick a side, to have an opinion, to stand where your soul feels at home.
Because clarity isn’t created by avoiding tension, it’s born from honesty.
When you share something that feels true to you, flow returns.
It’s as if Source breathes again through your words.
And guess what, not everyone will like it.
But that’s part of the process.
With Love,
Carolina
