Part VI: How We Work
The Sacred Business Manifesto Part VI
Einstein put it this way:
“A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”
We’re increasingly disconnected. From ourselves. From each other. From any sense of meaning.
Un Costa Rica, where I wrote this, nature operates as one system. Centuries-old trees, toucans, monkeys, each essential to the whole. A natural exchange that fuels life. Our ancestors understood this. They knew their place in the system.
We’ve lost that. Disconnection has become the default.
Our drive for independence, coupled with a belief in separation, has isolated us from the systems meant to support us. The result is widespread loneliness and self-destruction.
Some facts:
36% of Americans report serious loneliness. For young adults, it’s 61%.
Social isolation is associated with a 30% increased risk of heart attack or stroke.
Suicide rates in the U.S. increased 37% between 1999 and 2022.
Technology has made it worse. Screens. Notifications. The constant pull toward validation through social media. It’s harder than ever to stay present.
Well-known meditation teacher
has declared, "The greatest tragedy of our time is the disconnection from ourselves, others, and the world around us."This separation shows up everywhere. In how we work. In how we compete. In the burnout and disengagement that have become normal.
We’re one big blob. The sooner we realize this, the easier and more enjoyable work (and life) becomes.
Most people are disconnected from their bodies. They view it as a machine. They’re afraid of what it might tell them. Or they’ve experienced trauma that made disconnection feel safer.
This disconnection shows up directly in business.”
Some people are waking up. But hustle culture still dominates. Everyone talks about ideal days, inbox zero, four-hour work weeks. All of it focuses on external productivity, not internal experience.

You can grow a business from a disconnected state. People do it all the time. But it leads to burnout, overwhelm, and eventually breakdown.
That was my experience. Six figures a month. Everything looked great. I was miserable. Always needing ‘more.’ Always chasing the next level in a game I couldn’t win.
When I looked for solutions, everything was about manipulating the external. More stuff. More results. It just made me more isolated.
So I shut it down. Six-figure monthly income and all. I went looking for people who had mastered the inner game.
I‘m not saying you need to shut down your business and become a monk.
But if you think your business challenges are separate from your personal patterns, you’re missing something important.
It starts inside
An aligned business has a core essence. A purpose that’s clear.
If your business feels like a calling rather than just an opportunity, you’re channeling something deeper.
How does it feel in your body when you work? Do you feel alive and in your fullest expression? Or do you feel resistance, fear, and dread about showing up?
What I’ve found is that the patterns keeping you stuck can only be broken when you recognize that everything is connected. Your inner patterns create your outer results.
When you recognize your part in this larger system, you feel a sense of belonging. And you stop creating unnecessary suffering.

When you operate from this understanding, everything shifts. More time. More money. More freedom. Better results. Without the breakdown, the health sacrifice, or the stress spiral.
Seeing that everything is connected shifts everything for the better.
Carolina and I met at an expats brunch in Costa Rica. I started working with her on bioenergetics to support my healing after surgery. As she learned about my background, she asked me to help with her business.
As I experienced the effects of her work on my health, energy, and focus, I got curious about how bioenergetics could support entrepreneurs
We found a powerful way to combine our work.
We ran experiments with my consulting clients. We explored what it would look like to help entrepreneurs get clear, get visible, and get clients by addressing both the inner patterns and the outer strategy.
From there, we built something new.
You still use strategy. You still use your mind. But now it’s working as part of an integrated system that includes the body and the deeper patterns underneath.
It became clear this was what we were meant to build together.
Sacred Business Flow was born.
We spent about six months mapping the intersection of our work. What emerged were nine patterns, what we call the 9 Fundamental Frequencies, that determine whether an entrepreneur gets clear, stays visible, and attracts the right clients. Or stays stuck.
When we brought this to clients, the shifts were fast.
What this looks like: Ed’s story
Ed runs a business in Costa Rica called Live the Possibility. He helps clients secure land and develop eco-friendly projects like retreat centers. He loves his work. But his income didn’t reflect the value he provided.
Ed's story shows what's possible when you address both inner patterns and outer strategy - regardless of where you're starting.
Ed’s challenges looked like business problems: a chaotic website, inconsistent client intake, unfocused communication, financial instability. But they were symptoms of deeper disconnection, old patterns and unresolved trauma that showed up as disorganization and lack of follow-through.
Financial instability, alternating between enough and not enough, is one of the most common patterns we see. It’s exactly what the 9 Frequencies are designed to address.
His business challenges and personal patterns were the same problem wearing different clothes.
We started with the inner work. Deepening his connection. Helping him see how everything was linked.
He took the Harmony Map Assessment. His breakthrough frequencies were Connection, Simplicity, and Discipline.
By addressing these patterns, he got clear.
We used breathing, bioenergetics, and mindfulness to anchor him in the present and reduce his dependency on external validation. He slowed down. Stopped overthinking. Created space to streamline his business.
The results: a newsletter with a clear message to attract the right clients. A clean website that simplified engagement. Better email list management. A signature offer called the Land Accelerator. A paid ‘Ask Me Anything’ offer that immediately increased revenue. A networking group called the Land Stewards Alliance that generated income with minimal time investment.
All of this came from getting clear. The strategy followed the inner work.
Yes, we reorganized structure. Optimized his calendar. Built better booking flows. But the inner work was the catalyst. Everything else came after.
The business side of things often rests on a strong foundation of self-worth and alignment.
The outcomes have been nothing short of remarkable.
Ed launched a mastermind. Set clear boundaries. Embraced direct communication. His clarity and self-driven confidence made managing clients and finances easier. More stable revenue. Less need for external approval. Excitement about what’s next.
All of it a reflection of the inner work.
90,000 hours
The average person spends 90,000 hours working. Are you happy with how you’re spending a third of your life?
If you hesitate to answer, you’re not alone. Most people aren’t happy with how they spend their working hours. And they keep doing it anyway. Massive disconnection from any sense of purpose.
If you're still reading, you already know it doesn't have to be this way.
We believe you operate at your fullest when there’s harmony between you, your business, and something larger than yourself. When all three align, something powerful emerges.
A business that fulfills you. That serves others. That’s connected to something bigger.
Our mission: to help you get clear on what you offer, get visible in a way that feels right, and attract clients who value your work. By addressing both the inner patterns and the outer strategy.
You won’t be doing this alone. And you’ll realize you’re more capable than you thought.
Whether you’re just starting or ready to scale, we’ll help you build something that outpaces anything you’ve done before.
This is what freedom looks like.
So where do you go from here?
