Carolina, this really resonated with me. As a creative, I’ve experienced firsthand how turning my work into a business can be great for sales… but terrible for my sense of joy and moral connection to what I’m making. Over the past year, since moving to Paris, I’ve been intentionally re-orienting toward pleasure and curiosity in the act of creating itself. It means fewer opportunities and sales in the short term, but the enjoyment, flow, and sense of alignment have fully returned. Your reflections on work as sacred offering really capture what I’ve been learning: that the act of creation can—and should—be nourishing, beyond just the outcome or exchange.

Hi Jocelyn! Thanks for your comment... I'm glad this resonated with you!

I'm a big believer that joy and fun are actually profitable. It can take time to rewire our brains from the idea that work or making money has to be hard, but when we do? It's awesome!

So TRUE! I feel the "Avodah" and the nourishing aspect of "doing the work" when I post ,my first baby-steps on Substack in this way.

Love these kind of etymologistic searching to re-invent reality, interweave the essence👌🏼
