Think about a time when you felt fully alive, energetic, and flowing in your business or creative work. Now contrast that with moments when you felt drained, scattered, and uninspired. What made the difference?
As I've deepened my understanding of what truly drives success, I've come to recognize vitality as the essential life force behind everything we create. This realization led me to reflect deeply on my own experience: what silently kills our vitality? What subtly drains our energy and blocks our natural flow?
Besides the fundamentals we all know—movement, nutrition, quality sleep, hydration, connection with loved ones, laughter, play—I discovered something very profound that depletes our life force: lack of honesty with ourselves.
When we aren't truthful about what we truly desire, when we hide from our deepest calling out of fear or obligation, our vitality quietly disappears.
This dishonesty shows up as persistent doubt, vague direction, and a scattered approach to our work—all symptoms of not being willing to admit what we really want.
In my own experience, after having my bioenergetics practice open for a while, I wasn't being honest with myself. I thought being general and helping everyone was the right path, but this lack of honesty with my true desires was blocking my vitality completely.
The idea that helping everybody was the safe path to follow was actually killing my creative force little by little. My energy was scattered, and I was getting less excited about what I was doing—something I once called my passion.
I can see now I had to go through that process to recognize this truth.
I now realize how many talented people fall into this same trap.
They can genuinely help with many different issues, but they disconnect from what truly calls to their heart because they believe they should serve everyone.
This false obligation drains vitality faster than almost anything else.
Maybe you too have a skill or technique that can solve many problems in many different areas. But I would like to invite you to ask yourself this question with complete honesty: what do you love the most about helping people?
If you think about your own experiences, the things in your life you have lived through, what audience truly resonates with your heart?
I found myself with such a huge variety of clients.
I was helping people treating cancer, back pain, relationship issues—loving relationships, relationships between mothers and children—allergies, headaches, body pain in general, people trying to find jobs they loved or even just finding ways to reenter the market at an older age, people trying to connect with their life purpose, people dealing with grief from losing loved ones, fibromyalgia... I was all over the place.
I was technically qualified to help all of them in terms of my skills.
But I wasn't being honest with myself.
I had to understand that I am not my skills—they need to serve a bigger purpose. They need to help me feed what is truly in my heart.
And many of these conditions, while worthy of healing, weren't heart-expanding for me, even though it felt amazing to see people's allergies disappear or their physical pain being relieved.
My heart wasn't in all these topics, but I couldn't admit that to myself. In my mind, saying no to someone was being selfish if I knew I could help, so that kept me saying yes to others and saying no to my highest calling.
I wasn't being honest about my true desires.
Energetically, I was so spread out and scattered. Not honoring what my passion really was drained my own life force.
My fear of focusing more and losing what I had kept me struggling in the same place, thinking I was the solution for everybody's problem—such an egoic way of relating to my business.
I remember I was in my yoga teacher's studio, where I initially started renting my first space to see my patients, and she took a white piece of paper and asked me, "But if you could choose only one thing, what would you do?"
It was a cool conversation and I admitted to her how I really wanted to help people, but at the same time it freaked me out, let me tell you. I didn't take any action from that conversation for the next year or so. I was so scared to admit that—who am I to be so specific? Who am I to choose my clients?
But it served as a wake-up call toward self-honesty. It showed me that I can't serve everybody.
There is a healthy balance between what I am qualified to help with and what makes my heart sing.
In that intersection resides vitality—in that space where honesty with ourselves allows life force to flow freely through us as we do the things we truly love.
This is the secret that unlocks true vitality in business: the courage to be honest about what you really want.
My invitation is simple: ask yourself honestly how much of your work truly lights you up inside. Especially if you're a business owner, are you creating what you genuinely want to create? When you speak your true desires aloud—when you admit what makes your heart certain—vitality naturally returns.
This moment of authentic recognition, when you feel "This is it," releases tremendous energy that flows through everything you do.
Don't be like I was. Don't think you need to help everybody because your tools, your knowledge, or your techniques allow you to. Be brave enough to be honest about what is in your heart and to speak that out loud.
Maybe you're doing everything right—eating, exercising, sleeping, loving, laughing—but you still feel blocked.
Maybe that block is your unwillingness to be honest about your passion.
Maybe that block is the fear of admitting, once and for all, what you really want.
When you finally speak your truth and align with your deepest desires, watch how quickly your vitality returns—like a river that's finally found its natural course.
With Love,
Carolina
