The more you know, the more confused you become. The more credentials you collect, the less clear your path gets.
If this sounds like your current reality, this message is for you.
Our mind is so powerful and yet such a small part of our being.
It has the power to attribute meaning to situations and take us to incredible places in our lives, just as it has the power to keep us in an endless loop of doubt.
Sometimes knowing a lot can become a cage, a trap to a simple mind. All this knowledge that brought you here won't take you where you want to go (at least not in the way you are used to).
When you have multiple certifications, degrees, and titles, your mind starts believing you need to use ALL of them to justify your worth. Each credential becomes a voice saying "Don't forget about me! I cost money and time - you have to include me!"
So instead of "I help people heal from headaches," it becomes "I'm a certified functional medicine practitioner, licensed therapist, yoga instructor, Reiki master, and nutrition coach who helps people with holistic wellness through integrative mind-body approaches..."
But here's what The Simple Mind Knows:
One clear problem you solve
One type of person you serve
One transformation you create
Everything else is just how you deliver it
We forget our power resides in the being and not the doing.
A complicated mind is actually a form of protection.
In the complexity, we can't be criticized for our specific thing because we don't have one.
We can't "fail" at our zone of genius because we never claim it.
We can't be seen as the expert because we're generalists.
We avoid the vulnerability of saying "THIS is what I'm here for."
A complicated mind wants the end goal, while a simple mind enjoys the journey.
A complicated mind forgets it's co-creating with the universe and wants to clarify everything alone, instead of using life as a mirror, the journey as the process of clarification.
In my own business, I watched my own evolution - from trying to solve a thousand problems, to now being very simple. I help entrepreneurs navigate their inner transformation to move forward in building their Sacred Business.
I have more tools in my belt, I know I can help more people beyond entrepreneurs, but in my simplicity resides my joy. In my simplicity resides my ability to enjoy the journey and not overthink the process.
Our motto at Sacred Business is everything is connected, and I truly believe it is.
This complicated pattern that prevents you from having clarity about the people you help and the transformation you provide also manifests everywhere in your life.
It shows up in your saying yes to many things that don't matter, your inability to say no to what creates distance between you and your goals. A simple mind is content with one goal and one next clear step.
A complicated mind looks for processes, for many "what if" scenarios.
Many in our community own a current business that pays the bills while building their Sacred Business. The complicated mind tries to grow both equally, but this splits your creative energy and keeps you stuck.
The simple mind knows different. It understands that your current business is serving your future one by providing financial stability. But once you've defined the goal of building your Sacred Business, every choice becomes a question:
"Does this feed where I'm going, or does this keep me where I am?"
The simple mind makes clear choices. When an existing client asks for more services, you evaluate: "Is this person a fit for my new way of working?" If yes, invite them to transition with you. If no, fulfill your commitment but don't expand it.
When you're tempted to optimize systems or launch new offerings in your current business, ask: "Does this move me toward my Sacred Business or keep me trapped in what I'm transitioning away from?"
Block specific hours on your calendar for your Sacred Business and protect them like client appointments. Start with 10 hours a week, then slowly shift to 15, then 20. Those hours are non-negotiable.
Your current business gets maintenance energy - fulfill existing clients, keep operations running.
Your Sacred Business gets your growth energy - your creativity, your learning, your best hours of the day.
The simple mind doesn't try to scale both.
It chooses energetically where it's going, then makes decisions that honor that choice.
Simplicity is key for a fulfilled and happy life. And it doesn't mean doing less - it means focusing more, being more clear and specific about what your goals.
Complexity is the ego's way of avoiding intimacy, not just with our clients, but with our own soul.
This same avoidance pattern shows up everywhere in our lives. The mind that can't choose one clear client also can't choose one clear path forward.
But there is a beautiful intersection where simplicity meets faith, where you are so intimate with your soul that one step is enough. And then another. And then another.
You don't serve everybody - you serve one. You don't have many goals - you have one. And you know this is why you came here.
This is the gift of a simple mind: that sweet spot of knowing enough while remaining in awe of the unknown. It's the ability to ground yourself in clarity while staying open to mystery. It's the peace that comes from being fully present in this moment, while excited about where you are heading.
The simple mind doesn't need to have it all figured out.
It trusts that intimacy with your soul is enough guidance. It knows that when you serve from your deepest truth, the right people find you. It understands that when you follow your heart's one clear calling, everything else falls into place.
This is your invitation to receive the gift that's been waiting for you all along - the gift of your simple, powerful, focused mind.
With love,
Carolina
