109: Stop Arguing With This Moment
The peace you want is hidden inside the moment you’re resisting
We keep choosing separation because we think we know better.
And this causes so much suffering and unnecessary stress.
Last weekend I was sick, and my little one was sick too.
He woke up before me on Saturday, it was before 6 a.m., when he knocked on my door and called, “Mom.”
I opened my eyes, my throat was blocked, my nose stuffed, my head exploding, and my body in pain from my toes to my hair. I tried to put him back to sleep for a little longer, but of course he was ready for the day, and the dread began.
I thought I wanted more sleep, to drink my coffee alone, to take a nice long shower. But instead, he was on my lap—nose stuffed, coughing, and needing me more than usual.
My thoughts, of course, matching my body state, decided there was something wrong with that moment. The reality was different from what I wanted to experience. This is not how it should be. I need time for myself. I don’t want to play. I should be able to rest longer.
And the more I rejected the moment, the more my son mirrored that back to me, wanting to be on my lap, needing to be close, not letting go.
My mom was here and trying to help. She kept inviting him to go to her lap or to play with her. Of course, his answer: “I want Mommy.”
I could feel the contraction in my body and the rejection of that moment.
Does it sound familiar to you?
Here’s what I didn’t realize in that moment: I didn’t actually want more sleep.
What I truly wanted was to feel my energy flowing again, to feel connected and at peace inside of me.
I was looking for that feeling in the wrong place, thinking rest would give it to me. But what I needed wasn’t external conditions to change. I needed to stop resisting what was.
Even though in my mind I had all the reasons to believe I was right, I was still fighting reality—tense, frustrated, and disconnected from what was happening.
From that place, I couldn’t see there was another choice.
And that’s when the whisper came: How can you choose differently? What is a better thought available when you stop reacting and choose?
I paused. Took a deep breath… and…
I chose to be with me—to be present, to be whole in me, and to support my son from that wholeness. The best thought was: I can stop rejecting the situation and, in full acceptance, be present here.
I stopped fighting the moment.
I surrendered.
I gave up the idea that I needed that moment to be different, and I chose to be closer to the divine in me, which only exists in the present moment.
From that frustration, I moved to contemplating him—observing the beauty of his connection with the present moment.
And like magic, he shifted.
He started playing alone in front of me, no longer needing to be on my lap. I merged with the moment, and things went back into flow.
I then had my moment to take a nice shower, to have my coffee.
And my son? Just playing in the living room without needing to be on my lap.
Why am I sharing this?
Because this is a pattern of disconnection I dare to say everyone I know has.
This pattern doesn’t only show up in motherhood—it shows up everywhere.
The idea that life should be different from what’s right in front of us.
In your business, for example, you might think you should already be somewhere else by now. Maybe you should have more time for yourself because you’ve been working on this business for years. Or you should have more money. Or your clients should see something they don’t.
We are constantly fighting reality and craving presence.
We are constantly judging others and blaming others for our inability to feel connected.
It doesn’t matter where you are in your Sacred Business journey, your business is inviting you to become one with life, and to empower yourself to choose how you want to feel despite the external world.
Some days you will feel clear in your vision and purpose.
Other days it will feel completely unknown to you.
Can you be with both?
We know that after the day comes the night, and then the day returns.
Why, then, do we fight so hard, desiring daylight all the time?
Kids are awesome mirrors—they are so present, and they demand our presence so deeply that they feel and show right to our face when we’re not.
Unfortunately, we’re wired to always be where we’re not.
Constant dissatisfaction.
Constant desire for life to be different so we can feel something different.
The more I try that, the more life proves me wrong.
Presence and oneness with all that is—that’s what we truly desire to feel.
That divine connection, that awe and deep admiration. Not because you like what you see, but because you stop fighting it. Because you choose to trust that there is something greater than what you can see.
That force is our essence, and every time we negate the present moment, we negate our own existence.
That’s why we keep trying to change everything. But the answer is to change inside—to stop choosing separation when connection has always been available.
Often we don’t understand life. It has its weird ways of unfolding.
But it’s becoming clear to me that the price of being closer to the divine is giving up my need to always understand.
With Love,
Carolina

The way I see planning is like setting up your GPS.
If you’re in New York and wishing to be in Los Angeles, you can get in the car, drive around, and even see beautiful landscapes, but if you never set your GPS to Los Angeles, you might just keep circling.
Life works the same way.
If you have a goal but don’t set your intention clearly, you’ll likely keep repeating the same experiences and feel stuck, not because you aren’t moving, but because you’re moving without direction. That’s what creates that sense of frustration and stagnation we all know too well.
But when you set your GPS, when you choose your destination, everything shifts.
You might take detours, face unexpected road closures, or adjust your route, but deep inside, you know you’re getting there. That knowing brings peace and momentum.
You may still feel frustration at times, but you no longer feel stuck, you’re in motion toward what matters.
We’re now refining our Sacred Business Planning Rituals Challenge, which was a beautiful success earlier this year.
2026 is a year 1 in numerology, a powerful time for new beginnings, and we want to start it fresh, strong, and aligned.
This challenge is holistic: it blends energy work, nervous system regulation, embodiment exercises, and written prompts to help you tap into your highest vision and translate it into small, tangible steps you can start today.
And it also introduces a planning system unlike anything you’ve seen before, unique, flexible, and designed to help you move seamlessly from the planning state into action, with grounded strategies to support you along the way.
Because often, we do have a clear goal, our GPS is set, but we forget that we still need to drive.
We stay in the garage with the GPS on, thinking that was the work.
Stay tuned, we’ll soon announce the dates and how you can join us.
Here is what I want to share this week …
Made With Intention - Candlelilla Co
I met Jenn a couple of weeks ago, and when she shared about her work, I immediately fell in love with it. For me, candles are sacred. I light them for breakfast, for dinner, before beginning my workday, and the simple act of lighting and then blowing them out feels like a sacred second of deeper connection: with myself, my essence, and the present moment.
I like having anchors throughout the day that break the cycle of autopilot. Candles, incense, and essential oils are powerful reminders of the greatness of life.
Jenn, the founder of Candlelilla Co., created her business out of her own necessity. As a highly sensitive person, she struggled to find products that didn’t irritate her skin or cause headaches. So she began making her own, slowly, intentionally, with ingredients she trusted on her own skin and in her home.
Each candle is handcrafted with pure essential oils, no synthetic or “natural” fragrance oils, no soy, beeswax, GMOs, dyes, parabens, or phthalates. Just clean, plant-based, Reiki-infused energy designed to soothe your senses and realign your space.
In a world that often feels like the fast food of consumption, Jenn’s work feels like a gentle return to nature… to what’s real, pure, and alive. The care and intention she pours into every formula remind me that no matter how far we drift from our own essence, we always find our way back.
If you love candles, or if you’re simply looking for small, sacred ways to be more present and connected to your inner being, check out her creations at Candlelilla.
They’re truly made with love… and you can feel it.
Needing Help to Feel Into Your Vision
I had the honor of joining a recent Substack Live with Maria Gehrke, and her Through the Portal session is absolutely genius.
Maria has developed a unique process that bridges the spiritual and the tangible, helping you bring the depths of your subconscious into form. Through a guided meditation, she leads you into the essence of your being so you can connect with the vision you hold deep in your heart. Then, as you share, she paints your vision, channeling its frequency and truth, free from the noise, fears, and limitations of the outer world.
It’s one of the most beautiful ways I’ve seen to ground a vision, to make what’s invisible visible.
As Maria says, “Your vision deserves to be honored. To be seen, to be held, to be made real.”
And I couldn’t agree more.
If you’re in the process of creating something from your heart, something intentional, alive and sacred, you might want to explore her work and have her create a piece that reminds you daily of your vision’s frequency made manifest.
