This is golden. Freedom comes from discipline. The wandering mind doesn’t find freedom – it stirs trouble. Choose your constraints wisely and freedom follows.
Thank you, Phil! This perfectly captures my challenge. I want clients, I don't want to be trapped. Additionally, I want to bring my current self/offer into fruition without limiting my capacity to invest in my future self, which is already emerging.
Believing and trusting that the structure I would want could result in the financial success I need is still tough, and I realize that's the gig.
Thanks for asking, Phil. Right now, I offer my clients Divine Mother energy: soft, embracing, unconditional love and truth. This helps people with deep mother wounds and early childhood trauma heal and learn to love themselves.
What's starting to emerge is an energy of power - powerful clarity that feels more commanding than soft.
Ultimately I want to integrate both of these capacities. Right now, I'm just learning about this new energy of power, power as my new self. And at the same time, I'm needing to bring the Divine Mother offering more strongly into the world, which I'm in the process of doing.
Thanks Phil. A great post and a powerful reminder for us to all really ask ourselves what we mean by 'freedom'. For me personally this is having the bandwidth to be able to pursue what I find to be intellectually stimulating. 🙏
I love that definition! by the way do you get paid to research AI use and then use Substack as one way of doing that? I've been so curious about what you are up to! I know you are a professor (or at least think you are). Continue to love your work!
Thanks Phil. A lot of my paid research is in how students and staff use AI in higher education. I am a full professor a UK university, but my other paid research is around the intersections of poetry and science. I am very blessed to have this role. 🙏
