I love ‘Only love is real.’ Totally get that.

To me, the blank space says ‘I didn’t do it and I don’t care.’

The 0 says ‘I didn’t do it and I take full responsibility for my choice.’

'a 0 and a blank space look exactly the same' is a very good opening because it is true on the page and false in the body. the blank is what the mind leaves behind when it wants to skip the feeling of the gap, and the trouble is that guilt is only a signal that a value got crossed; delete the signal and the value goes quiet with it, which is how a capable person ends up operating from, as you put it, old unhelpful patterns while feeling perfectly fine. the chosen zero keeps the value and drops the shame, which is the opposite of what most kindness-to-self advice does. i would like to know what you see on the scoreboard calls: when someone's blanks start turning into zeros, what changes first, the actions in the following week, or the way they talk about the week they just had?

it could be both, the awareness itself is very powerful and often invites new actions, or just more clarity about why they can’t do what they said they would
