I always thought this was a strategy problem but turns out it’s a safety issue. Embodiment can only happen when we feel safe to integrate all parts of us in every aspect of life. Reconditioning the program is a process that requires grace, self compassion and understanding. Beautiful article. Thanks for sharing 🙏🏻
For me, this split dates back to training in school where I learned that "being myself" was not a path to success. The comments about pushing through to meet every deadline really resonate about getting homework done and finishing papers on time. Makes sense since school trains us to participate in a factory work environment...
I think for me, the root is deep sense of disbelief that "actual me" could ever really succeed or make a living doing something that was naturally aligned.
We are taught that following the rules is rewarded far more than authenticity and then so many of us carry that forward throughout life unless we consciously seek to break the pattern. Hard to unlearn something with that much early developmental evidence behind it. Curious what your Harmony Map showed on Connection. Have you taken it?
The split between who we are externally and what is happening internally is something many high-capacity people normalize without realizing the cost. What you’re naming here as fragmentation is often disguised as strength.
Most of us know that the world rewards performance, but it rarely asks about alignment. Therefore, when strategy keeps failing, sometimes it’s not a strategy issue. It’s usually a separation issue.
Now, this was an absolutely thoughtful start to the series. Kudos!
I went quiet on social media a few years ago. I just silently watched while people posted. Why? I felt like I was 2 people. Except I called it the “scientific me” and the “spiritual me”.
I was really having a hard time.
When I came back, I reintroduced myself as both. It felt better but I still felt like those 2 people instead of 1.
I've been fortunate enough to be working with you both and a part of the community for some time now. Long enough to know taking the Harmony Map before and now has changed quite a bit. Those that are willing to do the work, the results come. And these aren't number results only, these are wholesome results. The kind that says this type of work moving forward is a sustainable path toward success in all areas of my life. Love what you've done with Part I. Looking forward to seeing the ones coming.
Thanks for your words @Josh Woll you are embodying what it looks like to show up fully for yourself and to drop the mask. Love having you part of what we are building
This resonates so deeply ... The chasm between intellectual understanding and action or change feels ... Well like a chasm. I think parts work and attachment styles are key for me.
I see you creating something absolutely beautiful Rebecca with the camino. Sacred Business does not come without challenge, but you've done amazing work in a relatively short time!~

You are very welcome, and its an honor to have you in our community!
Thank you friend 🙏🏻 I’m so excited to be a part of it!

This isn’t just a manifesto it’s a value system for life and a choice we all get to make day in and day out.
Man, You have been living proof of these ideals for a while now.
Appreciate you!

That's definitely conditioning at play.

Phil, I see why you connected this to my work.

"Fragmentation disguised as strength."
That's it exactly Cardel.
Curious if you've taken the Harmony Map. Would be interesting to see what shows up there for you. It's a fascinating deep dive.
Not yet…but just may, when I find the time

Awesome appreciate you ❤️

Fragmented💔
and how are you feeling now @Florence Acosta?
" You’re not confused about what to do. You’re exhausted from not doing it. "
This is a keeper ! Thanks.
Thank you so much for your words, glad it resonates!

Thanks Jasmine! The "chasm" you describe usually isn't about knowing more. You've already figured that out it seems.
Have you taken the Harmony Map? It might offer some valuable insights.
I love the “idea” of this and am still working on bringing it all together. Thanks for the series.

I never realized how true this message is. Only when we become integrated do things start to "click"!!
it seems to me you are "clicking" quite well right now. congratulations on all your recent substack moves and success!
