081: Beyond the Surface - The True Value of Your Craft
Recognizing the deeper impact of your work
How might your business transform if you saw beyond the surface of your craft to the profound human needs you're actually fulfilling?
I was sitting in this cold room with the AC cranking for another bioenergetics training, this time I was repeating a training I had done before, which is the entry level of this technique, that was probably about 7 years ago.
It's so beautiful, the philosophy behind that, because you can't start working with that technique until you actually learn how to do it on yourself first and get the results for your personal issues before attempting to help other people.
That thing about putting the mask first on yourself and then helping others, or the whole vibe around "I walk my talk," for me this is so important in any transformative work. That's when you bring your full power from having walked the path and now being able to guide someone.
But anyways, what I want to share is not about that, it's about a conversation that happened during that training that I never really had thought about, at least not with that level of clarity.
One of the attendees was a hair dresser and he was there for the same reasons I was, personal growth and self-development. I honestly don't remember his question exactly but the topic was connected to our ability to see our own value before others can see it.
And then how to translate that value into financial abundance so you can create a life worth living – where you feel successful, where your gifts return energy back to you, where you can experience the things you truly value, and where you can fully support yourself and your loved ones.
So around his work, being a hair dresser, he couldn't see how he was adding much to people's lives. In a way he was diminishing his own gifts, saying that he was only the guy who would cut people's hair.
At that time, his words challenged me because I couldn't see a way out for him either. I found myself silently agreeing with his limited perspective. I was thinking,
"Yeah, maybe the only hairdressers who can charge more are those with fancy locations or celebrity clients" – as if success only comes from these external things.
Until my teacher shared his perspective on what a hairdresser truly is.
And that blew my mind.
He started inviting us to think about how people leave a hair dresser place, when their hair is beautiful, with that nice and fresh cut, how people feel good in their bodies, because they look in the mirror and they see their beauty.
In that moment, they experience a level of confidence that often isn't present in their everyday life.
After cutting and treating your hair, you increase your self-esteem.
What a beautiful transformation can happen during a hair cut?
What if the energy of the hair dresser is that of someone who knows how empowering his work is?
How would that energy of intention change the client experience?
Those things don't necessarily need to be said but they can be felt if the service provider is approaching their service with the sacredness it deserves.
Energy is everything! And everything is connected!
The divine connection between you and what you do is what makes the difference.
If you approach your gifts as divine, no matter what they are, they will serve others in a divine way.
I believe everything can be seen through this divine eye, if we allow it.
My fitness coach, for example – the reason why I got attracted to his work is because of the sacredness with which he approaches lifting weight.
There are so many trainers out there, teaching the exact same movements he teaches, but he knows he does more than that.
He doesn't just build bodies; he builds confidence.
He helps people to become their best version, to show up for themselves so they can build a healthy body full of vitality to enjoy this beautiful experience that is life and support their loved ones.
What a difference! It changes everything!
One of our clients, an already successful videographer, changed his perspective about how he serves the world when he finally realized that his value wasn't in the technique or the equipment he has.
For years, despite a very successful business, he was dimming his light down, because he did not see that the value of his work was in his ability to be present and create a safe space for the people he was recording, so they could share vulnerably from their hearts.
When he shifted his perspective about how valuable his unique gifts were, even though he was "selling" something that many others do, he transcended competition and entered the realm of the irreplaceable.
He became one of a kind, and his power of attraction amplified significantly.
The way he now feels about himself and his business is just amazing to watch.
Sometimes it takes someone from outside your inner circle to point you in that direction, to help you see you and how you serve, as a result of your divine connection, as a result of the unique combination of what you bring here, even though you might teach something that many others are teaching.
The hair dresser is not just cutting hairs only; he is helping people to tap into their full potential through helping them to feel beautiful and good in their physical body.
The gym trainer is not helping people to build muscles and look nice; they are helping you to put yourself as a priority, to show up for yourself, to have a strong body to have more life in the time you are here.
The videographer recording videos is not only selling a beautiful video of a moment; he is capturing souls in motion – he is transforming people's lives when he allows them to share their messages from their hearts, vunerably, when he translates a lifetime into a 3-minute take that many others will be affected by.
But they need to see that first, before others can.
This sacred approach to your work isn't just about charging more money – though that naturally follows.
It's about waking up excited because you're serving from a genuine space that lights you up inside.
When you truly see the depth of what you offer, you allow more abundance to flow your way without guilt or hesitation. This abundance becomes fuel – to invest deeper in yourself, to serve at higher levels, to share more widely, and to practice greater generosity.
The money isn't the end goal; it's the natural energetic return that allows your gift to create bigger ripples in the world.
In this so noisy world, what truly sets you apart as a successful business owner isn't your polished website, your legion of followers, or even your technical expertise.
These things help, but they're not the true differentiator.
The magic happens at the intersection of your skill and your seeing. The real difference comes from your ability to perceive the deeper transformation you catalyze in others—because you feel, deep in your heart, that your gift carries genuine meaning.
Your recognition of the beauty and power in your work becomes the silent invitation for others to discover that same beauty within themselves.

Planning That Feels Good
It feels incredibly fulfilling when you have a clear vision of where you're heading. We've been searching for ways to not only optimize what we do but also strengthen our entire system, ensuring every action feeds into the others to create a clear, concise message about how we serve the world.
This past week, we focused on our content plan. Even though we already had a structure in place, thinking more systematically proved immensely helpful. Within this new framework, we've created plenty of space to flow creatively.
This level of planning wasn't necessary until now, but as Sacred Business Flow grows, we need to revisit our existing structures to ensure they enable us to serve from a more inspired space—and that's exactly how we approached our content strategy!
I've been learning so much from Phil about creating an ecosystem rather than running a business with disconnected parts that don't communicate with each other. This is how you build a successful business that doesn't feel overwhelming and allows us to serve more people without overcomplicating our lives!
It takes time and effort upfront, but once the foundation is laid, you simply follow the plan while remaining present to observe how the universe responds, making adjustments as you go. Is this plan perfect? Of course not! Did we overthink it? Not at all. It's good enough to give us clear direction and align every action with a larger system that supports both our business growth and the lifestyle we want to experience.
