098: Your Mind Is the Dashboard, Not the Driver
Discovering the Sacred Partnership Between Body, Mind, and Soul in Life's Big Decisions
Have you ever known, deep in your body, that something needed to change — while your mind listed all the reasons it couldn’t?
I don’t believe I would be where I am today, in terms of my own satisfaction and how I serve the world, if I hadn’t changed my relationship with my body and my mind. As a good Capricorn, I am very rational. My mind is always looking for what makes sense.
The problem is, sometimes where you want to go makes no sense at all compared to where you are.
At the time, I was so attached to my mind that I needed to see the path from A to B before I could take the first step. And on paper, my life was good: meaningful work, excellent pay, room to grow in the company, more benefits, more money. My mind couldn’t understand why I would let that go.
Why trade long-term security and predictability for instability and uncertainty?
But here’s the thing — this kind of shift doesn’t happen all at once. It’s a process. One choice at a time. One step at a time.
I was moving from a safe-based life to a more inspired and courageous one.
I had to admit to myself that what I once dreamed of had come true. It had given me a happy life, but it wasn’t serving me anymore. I needed to detach from the version of myself who once desired the successful corporate job in Canada. Life was inviting me to a new adventure.
And for that, I had to trust my body more — even when my mind couldn’t see all the steps.
My deep craving for sunlight, my body’s hunger for nature… these were the signs. Alongside all the career shifts, my body was also calling for a different location. To my mind, that wasn’t enough reason to leave everything I knew. But because of my practices — yoga, meditation, time in nature — I had learned enough to follow it.
What for many is a retirement dream, my body told me not to wait another 20–30 years to answer. So I moved to Costa Rica. Was it easy? Was it all marvelous? No. But three years there felt like thirty in terms of my growth. The challenges, the hardships, the moments of pure joy and expansion — they were exactly what my soul needed.
You already know what your soul wants — or at least, you know what it doesn’t want. Following your joy is the GPS. And that’s different from chasing constant pleasure. It’s about noticing the moments you wish could last forever.
I remember one freezing Canadian winter, driving with the sun streaming through the car window. The warmth on my skin felt almost sacred. I realized then how deeply my body missed the sun. That moment told me: I might be in the “wrong” place. Canada had served me well for a decade, but I was ready for something else.
Your body is a temple. Your soul, your reason for being here, is always speaking to you. But our disconnection from the body, and our attachment to how things should be, has made us lose the ability to listen.
What if you don’t know enough? What if your mind doesn’t actually know what’s best for you?
You came here to evolve — not to get everything “right.”
And your body holds many of the answers.
I’m not here to negate the mind. In fact, it’s the opposite. The problem is we’ve mixed up the roles. We often put the mind in the driver’s seat. But the mind was never meant to drive.
The soul is the true driver. The body is the sacred vehicle.
And the mind?
It’s the dashboard — full of gauges and data, incredibly useful, but not in charge. It gives you important information, but it doesn’t choose the direction.
I didn’t move from mind-oriented to body-trusting overnight. It was a combination of choices: consistency with yoga, walks in nature, meditation, a life-changing trip to Egypt, ayahuasca experiences, self-development courses, and a lot of reflection. Slowly, I shifted from choosing what made logical sense to choosing what my body was calling for.
You don’t tap deeper into your soul’s purpose by thinking harder.
You find it by following your heart’s deepest desires, by taking risks, by living fully in your body. By slowing the mind enough to hear the quieter truth.
Eventually, the mind understands how it serves. When mind, body, and soul work together, they are an invincible team. But the leap will challenge you — and before you find a thousand reasons to follow your heart, your mind will find ten thousand reasons not to.
The question is: Which voice will you listen to?

First Sacred Business Flow Auction
We had our first auction this week — and it was both intense and so much fun! Nearly 60 bids came in from people inside and outside our community.
The bidding started at just $1 and climbed all the way to $4,101! Along the way, we received so much encouragement, love, and playful energy.
Congratulations to
, looking forward to serving your vision even more deeply. It was an incredible reminder of what’s possible when we let go of control, stay connected to our mission, and allow things to unfold.
We’re not sure when, but we’ll definitely do this again!
Retreat to go within
This upcoming week, we’ll be stepping away from the action of the outer world and going deeply within.
Phil and I will be attending a retreat in the mountains near São Paulo, Brazil — a time devoted not to business or marketing, but to connecting profoundly with peace and unconditional love.
My intention is to bring this energy back and weave it into my daily life. As I often say, knowing and not doing is not knowing.
For me, that means finding ways to embody the philosophy I’m learning, so it naturally shapes the way I live and the way I do business.
I am looking forward to this experience. ❤️
Here is what I want to share this week …
Article: The Science of Embodiment: Connect to Your Body’s Wisdom
I’d love to share this insightful article, The Science of Embodiment: Connect to Your Body’s Wisdom, which beautifully explores how being “up in our head” means we often navigate life missing half of ourselves.
The body holds its own intelligence—through interoception, nervous system wisdom, and embodied cognition—that’s essential not only for physical health but also emotional resilience and a healthy mind.
At Sacred Business Flow, embodiment is foundational: we believe that guiding people to build a thriving business begins with reconnecting mind, body, and spirit.
True success isn’t just clients, revenue, or status—it’s fulfillment, inner peace, and joy.
Book: Emotional Intuition for peak performance
If your business feels that you are in Service to something greater than yourself this is a must read.
Great book to help you break unhelpful patterns and fully step into the person who runs a successful business and takes aligned action.
I especially love his explanation of hot and cold cognition, and how understanding the difference helps us clearly see what truly serves us—and what doesn’t. So we can make the necessary changes.
Who We Are Celebrating
Jesus … yes Jesus
Today, I want to celebrate Jesus.
I recently bought a Bible, and I’m reading it—probably for the second time—after almost 30 years. Back in school, I attended a very religious school and went to church for religious studies. That experience created a deep distance between me and Jesus. I became resistant to his teachings because I associated them so strongly with the rigid, disconnected way they were presented to me at the time.
I was just a little girl, but I remember feeling a revolt inside at the nonsense I was hearing. It didn’t serve me, and it made me reject his message for many years.
Then, during a trip to Egypt, I visited a place where they said Jesus had stayed. Hearing that story through a different lens made me realize how much I was missing. Now, five years after that trip, I have a Bible in my hands again, and I’ve been opening its pages and studying its meaning. I’m fascinated by the treasures I’m finding there.
This has been a powerful reminder that I had to let go of my opinions about Jesus—formed through my past experiences—to finally tap into these high-frequency teachings. It is said that in our energetic field we hold the potential for profound connection with higher levels of consciousness. I see now that I blocked myself from that for years because of my old beliefs.
Today, I celebrate Jesus and his teachings—how liberating his message is, and how much peace it brings to my heart when I read and understand his words through the lens of my present self. I know I am only beginning to grasp the surface, but even this glimpse feels like a gift.
