102: If Your Business Isn’t Fun, What Are You Even Building?
Fun is not optional. It’s the nervous system of a sustainable vision
We heard this week from a client who, when we delivered her business plan, was filled with excitement and just a little fear in her voice. “It’s an ambitious plan,” she said. And we replied, “Yes, of course it is.” It has to be.
A Sacred Business vision always carries that magic combination of meeting you where you are and inviting you into the excitement and possibility of growing beyond what you think is possible.
That’s the nature of a true vision: it feels so you, and at the same time it carries that OMG, how am I going to do this? But if you’re not here on this earthly plane to have fun, a big vision may not be for you.
The truth is, business and fun have become strangers to each other.
Somewhere along the way, people decided that work must be heavy, serious, and painful — something to grind through during the week so they can escape on weekends with drinks, distractions, or low-vibe conversations.
When we approach our own dreams and projects this way, they begin to feel overwhelming. Instead of being inspired, many people feel “not enough,” because they measure themselves against the full picture instead of remembering it’s a journey.
The heaviness blocks them from even trying.
We see this often on calls. People come in dead serious — about their business, their opinions on online marketing, about how others are doing it “wrong,” about getting it all “right.”
But rarely do they stop to ask the most important questions: Am I happy doing what I’m doing? Am I having fun? Am I getting the results I want?
Without fun, everything becomes transactional. And when everything is transactional, burnout is inevitable.
Let me be clear here: when I talk about fun, I don’t mean cocktails and laughter at a party.
Fun for me is an inner orientation.
It’s the feeling of discovery, the spark of curiosity, the lightness that comes when I’m writing, creating, or trying something new. Fun is not the absence of effort.
It’s the presence of aliveness within the effort.
So if what you’re creating doesn’t feel light, exciting, or fun… why are you creating it?
Maybe you’ve bought into the belief that life must be hard. Maybe you’ve forgotten how to celebrate. Maybe you feel you always need a “break” — but the truth is, what you really need is a break from the part of you that lost joy.
When we treat every move like it must be perfect, we forget the joy of experimenting. We stop playing. And if we need to escape the life we’re building, maybe we’re building the wrong life.
I remember asking a client who had just experienced a major win at an event if he had taken time to celebrate with his wife. His response was genuine confusion: “Celebrate what? The event? You mean like going out for dinner?”
Celebration is not about balloons or fancy dinners — though it can be. Celebration is about letting your body, mind, and spirit register the win.
Without it, your nervous system stays in “chasing mode.”
Without it, you teach yourself that nothing is ever enough. Celebration is what seals the breakthrough into your being.
Sometimes it’s an inner experience of deep gratitude; sometimes it’s shared outwardly in a way that feels true to you. Either way, celebration is not frivolous. It’s sacred. It’s how we say: this matters, I matter, life matters.
If we don’t celebrate, we skip over the miracle of our own becoming.
So if life feels dead serious, maybe ask yourself: why?
Your ego will rush in with reasons, but that’s not the answer you’re looking for. Go deeper.
What would it take to build a business that feels fun and light? What would it take to live life with more ease?
When I was a kid, maybe 11 or 12, I watched a TV show where someone was asked about the purpose of life. I realized I didn’t know, so I paused to think. The first thing that came to me was: the purpose of life is to have fun.
My judgy self quickly dismissed it as selfish. But many years later, I discovered I was right.
The purpose of life — and the purpose of your sacred business — is to let go of the parts of you that believe life must be hard, that work isn’t fun, that you need to have it all figured out, that you must get it right.
Seriousness is often confused with responsibility.
True responsibility is owning your creations, owning the experiences you want to have. But don’t forget to have fun and to celebrate. Fun is not a distraction from responsibility — it’s the very fuel that makes responsibility sustainable.
And if you don’t have that around you yet, maybe Sacred Growth Club is for you. If you already have clarity, if you have a vision, if you have an awesome business but are looking for ways to expand in community with people who love life and business, we’d love to walk this journey with you.
Because it’s meant to be fun.
With Love,
Carolina

Our Workshop Is in the Oven (and It Smells Amazing!)
We are having so much fun creating the workshop we’ll be offering as a gift to everyone who joined the auction. It’s going to be deep, powerful, and designed to give you real insights about shifting the very “operating system” you live from.
In my own journey, one of the biggest breakthroughs came when I stopped identifying only as matter and began to experience myself as energy. That shift alone changed everything.
Understanding it in your mind is just the first step—but when you begin to think and feel in terms of frequency, your awareness expands. Suddenly you can see how certain thoughts, actions, and ways of being have been quietly blocking what you most want.
The Harmony Map is built around two fundamental truths: first, that everything is connected—that the space between us, even when invisible, is not empty but alive with connection. And second, that everything is energy—including your business. The more we lean into these truths, the more life begins to flow. Challenges don’t disappear, but the way we move through them changes. From this embodied understanding, life stops feeling like a constant struggle and starts feeling like alignment.
We begin to care more about how we feel, we relate differently to people and situations, we raise our vibration to match the vibration of our desires, and we finally let go of the heavy need to always be “right.” Happiness, alignment, and resonance take center stage.
This is my passion because these shifts have transformed me—they healed my body from years of pain, they lifted me from the times when I could only believe in what I could see. And now, this workshop is growing in the oven—we can already taste it, smell it, feel it coming alive. It’s going to be so good, and I can’t wait to share it with you soon
Here is what I want to share this week …
Mastering Happiness: The Watermelon Lesson
What if it could be as simple as that? I believe it can—don’t you?
When Strategy Meets Consciousness
It’s happening! People are doing it. Yes—work can be fun. Yes—you can make money doing something you love. Yes—it feels uncomfortable. Yes—everything is connected. Yes—we need both the inner and the outer work. And yes—life is good!
I feel so honored to witness a business being born like the one Rebecca is creating. She is doing the work, taking ownership and responsibility for what she wants to bring into the world. She is moving through resistance, shaping the world she wants to live in, and inviting others to join her.
And you can too!
