Communication Is Creation
The hidden power of wonder questions and the choice to build from bliss.
I learned this early on in my conscious awakening path: we are the quality of our questions.
That realization hit me profoundly.
It showed me how powerful we are as creators, and yet how little credit we often give ourselves.
Think about it.
Pay attention to the words that come out of your mouth—whether when speaking to others or in the quiet of your own self-talk. If you truly believed you were creating your reality—that creation begins with thought, strengthens with words, and solidifies through declaration—you would be much more careful with what you say.
You would pause, cut unnecessary words, and begin asking better questions.
For me, one of the most profound ways we access Spirit and higher guidance is through wonder questions: open-ended invitations to reflection and deeper inquiry.
They don’t demand immediate answers, and they don’t close the subject. Our ego craves closure—yes or no, right or wrong—but in that urgency, we lose connection with Mystery.
My life shifted the moment I decided I don’t need answers right away. I can sit in contemplation. I can let life reveal the answers through lived experience. Over time, the quality of my questions has improved, too. And like any wonder question, this is not a quick fix—it is a process that takes time.
This is why we’ve devoted our monthly network call to exploring wonder questions together. Last week’s call was especially powerful. We read a passage from The Way of the Heart:
“Communication is creation. These two are one and the same.”
From there, we explored what our businesses are already communicating. What are they saying through the way we work, the way we serve, the way we show up? What do we most long for them to express?
The depth of the conversation filled me with gratitude. To be among people who value connection for the sake of connection, who open themselves to possibility, who understand how important it is to gather in this way—it’s a gift.
Alongside these wonder questions, we’ve been exploring the frequency of bliss.
And here’s what I’ve realized: bliss is not the reward of creation. It is the foundation of it.
Most of us live chasing after a feeling:
When I get that job, then I’ll be happy.
When I launch my business, then I’ll feel joy.
When I meet my partner, buy the house, have the kids—then fulfillment will come.
Even in building a sacred business, we tell ourselves it’s about serving others (and it is), but underneath, we also believe that doing this will finally make me happy.
This endless chase will never satisfy. I’m all for pursuing your goals and dreams—but what if the journey of manifesting could start with bliss, joy, and fulfillment now?
This is where the mind resists.
It feels confusing, even triggering, especially if you’re in a job that pays you well but makes you feel imprisoned. Yet wonder questions invite us not to jump into conclusions, but to sit with possibility: What if the feeling I’m chasing is already available here and now?
That’s what we practice in our embodiment classes. We rewire the nervous system to recognize the gift of the present moment, to choose peace now, to connect with bliss and joy now.
Your sacred business is inviting you to enjoy the journey. It was never meant to be a reward at the finish line.
Until we shift our mindset, we remain constant seekers.
This is the muscle of sustainment: if reward is the only fuel, we will always be starving. If bliss is the foundation, every step nourishes.
I’ve seen this truth reflected in our community.
A trigger at work became the opportunity to realize: “I don’t need to prove myself; my presence is enough.”
The old compulsion to “create systems now” softened into the vision of becoming someone who can hold lightness and peace even while juggling two jobs.
The disappointment of a creative project not meeting expectations gave way to neutrality and joy in the process itself.
And while recording a workshop, the push to finish in one day turned into delight: If it takes three sessions, that’s three opportunities to feel awesome instead of one.
Each of these stories shows that bliss is available now—not someday, not when the result comes, but here, in the middle of the process.
There is a different way to live, and it is available right now. But if we aren’t willing to do the inner work—shifting our state, asking better questions, practicing presence—we risk going through this entire lifetime never tasting the very feelings we long for.
So I’ll leave you with a wonder question:
If bliss became the foundation, not the reward, how would your business—and your life—change?
