Lovely article, Carolina. I've come around to seeing fears as a part of being human. We can't ever not be fearful, given how our bodies are designed. Yet, we can recognize and name fears and thereby hold them with understanding and compassion, rather than let them dictate our choices. I recall meditation teacher Jack Kornfield describe a way turning toward the difficult emotions as a guest stopping in. "Fear, I see you. Come sit, have a cup of tea." Love that image.
