Brilliantly put Carolina. We have learned that everything has to be quick and cheap. The art of making something beautiful is being lost because no one wants to wait when a machine can churn imitations out in minutes. What a beautiful art for you and Phil to learn too ❤️
I completely agree with you… it’s an art, and we need to keep choosing it daily. The noise out there is so loud, constantly pushing us toward rushing, cheapness, and quantity.
If we are truly choosing quality, simplicity, and value, we have to stay grounded in our own truth. We are learning, indeed, and choosing to surround ourselves with people who are also practicing this art

Good Morning Carolina….I believe after we get through this current shit-how that we are going to create a far more compassionate culture. And I believe, as a country, we are going to have to do some deep-digging into what we want to see as a country. We are NOT simply going back to the way things were! Ever! And, that’s a very good thing….as that led us to this current corruption-led fake administration. So, we will need to be thoughtful as to what we create next….because for all the supposed checks and balances….we can now see, they weren’t enough to safeguard our country against deep corruption. So, we will need to be very thoughtful in creating a new form of governing/government. Will this happen overnight? No, but I believe that this is what will need to happen over time. Remember, democracy is lumbering and part of the current problem. For, the corrupted is using this very fact. But/and I believe that most people witnessing the abuses of the current regime, will want to create a far more equal system for all! A system that cares for the least among us, understanding that when you care for your most vulnerable you create a much better world for all. Is this socialist? NO! It will just be a much fairer system for all but it will still be based in capitalism but a newer version.
I have a unique background that has brought me to this: I hold a BA in Economics, and BA, International Relations (my specialty, Chinese studies) along with a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and having lived long enough to travel a great deal, have had many spiritual experiences and enough time to think a great deal.
This gives you a shapshot into my thinking. I hope that answers your question—-but/and of course, this is a huge subject that we could all talk on for days/weeks/months and I hope we all are in our communities.
